Coin dedicated to the history of the coat of arms of Latvia. With this coin, Latvijas Banka pays tribute to the contribution of Ansis Tsirulis to the culture and art of Latvia, who in 1915 depicted the sun crowning the Latvian coat of arms on the flag and insignia of the 1st Daugavgriva Battalion of Latvian Riflemen.<\/p>\n
The obverse of the coin shows the motif of the rising sun with the letters “B” and “L” (“Briva Latvija” \u2014 “Free Latvia”) in the center. The inscription on the top along the edge: “UZLECO\u0160A SAULE “(“RISING SUN”). At the bottom is the name of the issuing state “LATVIJA”, the second line is the year of issue of the coin”2019″.<\/p>\n
