The coin depicts a panorama of Kaunas, combining its historical landmarks with interwar modernist architecture. In the foreground are the Church of Vytautas the Great and the Kaunas Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, next to the House of Perk\u016bnas, and the city hall rises in the center. In the background are the towers of the Jesuit Church and Kaunas Castle, while the right side of the composition is completed by the Central Post Office and the Basilica of the Resurrection of Christ – famous symbols of modernist architecture in the temporary capital. <\/p>\n
