After the Gulf War, two very different currencies in value<\/p>\n
circulated in Iraq: the so-called “Swiss dinar”<\/p>\n
and Saddam Dinar. Eliminating Saddam<\/p>\n
Hussein from power in 2003 led to<\/p>\n
the introduction of a single currency again, on the stock exchange<\/p>\n
ratio 1:1 to the Saddam dinar and 150:1 to the Swiss<\/p>\n
dinar. This is a complete first set of new coins<\/p>\n
Iraqi dinars. The obverse of the coins bears the name<\/p>\n
central bank and denominations.<\/p>\n
The reverses have a geographical depiction of Iraq with<\/p>\n
the Euphrates and Tigris rivers and the year of minting<\/p>\n
according to the Gregorian and Islamic calendars.<\/p>\n
