Collectors value dollar coins with US presidents, issued in a limited series with a face value of one dollar. The obverse of each coin features a portrait of the President of the United States. On the reverse, the figure of the Statue of Liberty is minted, which is surrounded by the inscription \u201cUnited States of America\u201d.<\/p>\n
The program started on January 1, 2007. Every year, once every three months, a coin is issued as part of the program. On the obverse of each coin is a portrait of one of the US presidents \u2013 in chronological order of performance of their official duties. The U.S. Mint called this promotion the \u201cPresidential $ 1 Coin Program\u201d.<\/p>\n
