The Kingdom of Astur (in Latin: Regnum Asturorum<\/i> ) was the first Christian political figure created in the Iberian Peninsula following the collapse of the Visigothic kingdom of Toledo following the disappearance of King Rodrigo in the Battle of Guadalete and the subsequent Muslim conquest of the peninsula. It is believed that the history of the kingdom begins in 718, the likely date of Don Pelayo’s election as leader of the rebels.<\/p>\n
The obverse depicts the shield of the Principality of Asturias in color on the colored ribbon of the Spanish flag. In the upper left part there is a circle, which in the form of a fourfold hidden image contains the schematized Asturias Cross, the mint mark, the royal crown and the number 18 (year of minting). Below, in two lines in capital letters, the denomination of the coin is 30 EURO. At the top of the coin, in a circle in capital letters, is the legend “1300 ANIVERSARIO REINO DE ASTURIAS”.<\/p>\n
The reverse depicts Their Majesties King Don Felipe and Donna Letizia. Around the circle there is an inscription \u201cFELIPE VI Y LETIZIA\u201d, below the country of the issuer and the date of issue of the coin \u201cESPA\u00d1A 2018\u201d.<\/p>\n
