The first set of coins of the Republic of Moldova<\/p>\n
After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991<\/p>\n
Moldova became an independent republic.<\/p>\n
In the same year, the National Bank of Moldova was established,<\/p>\n
and two years later, the leu was introduced.<\/p>\n
This is the complete first set of Moldavian Bani coins.<\/p>\n
The obverse depicts an interesting national coat of arms of Moldova.<\/p>\n
In addition to many cultural symbols,<\/p>\n
this also includes an eagle and a bison head –<\/p>\n
one of the national animals of Moldova.<\/p>\n
