The owl is a truly extraordinary bird. One of the largest owls, an adult owl grows to 60-75 cm, with a wingspan of approximately 160-190 cm. At this size, it weighs between 2 and 4 kg. Owls live a long time, over 20 years in the wild, and in captivity, in so-called “hothouse” conditions, there are known cases of owls living 60-70 years.
