Bankset euro Bulgaria 2026 BU

Bulgaria’s first euro bankset marks the country’s entry into the eurozone on January 1, 2026.

The 2 euro coin depicts Paisius of Hilandar, a Bulgarian hieromonk of the Constantinople Orthodox Church.
The 1 euro coin depicts John of Rila, a saint of the Orthodox Church and the most revered patron saint of the Bulgarian people.
The 50, 20, 10, 5 cents, 2 cents and 1 cent coins feature the Madara Horseman, an archaeological site dating to approximately 710 CE.
