Andorra presented the design of a commemorative 2 euro coin “50 years of universal suffrage for women”. The 2 euro issue is dedicated to an important step towards democratic transformation.
The coin features a female face located within endless lines that reflect female names in Catalan. Behind each inscription is a person who fought for the right to elect and be elected. At the top is the inscription “50 años del Sufragio Universal Femenino” – “50 years of universal suffrage for women”.
