The obverse of the commemorative 2 euro coin depicts one of the walls of the ancient Hajar-Kim temple. At the top is the inscription “HAĠAR QIM TEMPLES 3600-3200 BC”, and at the bottom of the coin is the name of the country” MALTA “and the year of minting”2017”.
On the coin issued in coincard, on the sides of the year are the signs of the Paris Mint (cornucopia, left) and the head of its engraving workshop (Yves Sampo, pentagon, right).
