The third issue in the 2019 Famous Dutch Artists series is dedicated to Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890).
The world famous post-impressionist became famous for his paintings “Starry Night”, the series “Sunflowers”, “Almond Blossoms”, as well as many self-portraits. He created about 2000 works, including 900 oil paintings. The Van Gogh Museum was founded in Amsterdam in 1973. More than 1.5 million people visit the museum every year.
