As a continuation of the “16 Lands of the Federal Republic of Germany” series, Germany is launching a second series of 2 euro coins.

The 2023 issue is dedicated to Hamburg. The coin depicts the Elbe Philharmonic, a new landmark of the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The Philharmonic Hall has been an architectural and cultural highlight of Hamburg since its opening in 2017 and has been used as a concert hall.
