The first coin is dedicated to the capercaillie. The capercaillie or grouse is a large bird from the pheasant family. The name “grouse” is due to the well-known characteristic of the mating male, which loses sensitivity and vigilance, which is often used by hunters.
Design: image of a wood grouse on a tree.
The second coin is dedicated to the San Antoni de la Grella bridge.
Pont de Sant Antoni de la Grella – The bride of Sant Antoni de la Grella is very simple in design, with a single rounded arch, paving stones and a short wall. Its height is 5.55 meters, length 21.20 meters. The bridge crosses the Valira del Nord river and continues the road connecting the parish with Andorra la Vella. It was built in medieval style in the mid-20th century. Next to the bridge is the chapel of San Antonio de la Grella, originally Romanesque and restored in the 1940s.
