The coin is dedicated to borteve beekeeping (from the word “bort” — tree hollow) – the oldest form of beekeeping, in which bees live in tree hollows. The holes could be natural or several holes were hollowed out in thick trees at a height of 4 to 15 m. Hollows can also be hollowed out in decks, which are then hung on tree trunks. Inside of the holes to strengthen the honeycomb was created the so-called crosses, or snaps. For the selection of honey was used long narrow openings. People involved in beekeeping are called apiarists or apiculturists.
