Collectors value dollar coins with US presidents, issued in a limited series with a face value of one dollar. The obverse of each coin features a portrait of the President of the United States. On the reverse, the figure of the Statue of Liberty is minted, which is surrounded by the inscription “United States of America”.

The program started on January 1, 2007. Every year, once every three months, a coin is issued as part of the program. On the obverse of each coin is a portrait of one of the US presidents – in chronological order of performance of their official duties. The U.S. Mint called this promotion the “Presidential $ 1 Coin Program”.
