10 Euro Germany 2024 – In the Service of Society: Police

The coin is the third in the five-coin “In Service to the Society” series, which will release one coin each year from 2022 to 2026. The series emphasizes the particular importance of groups of professions that are necessary for the functioning of our society and the life of each of us. This is an expression of respect and appreciation for people who consistently act in the interests of the common good. The coins of the series will have a polymer ring in the color characteristic of the corresponding professional group.
The third coin in this series is dedicated to police workers.
Obverse: Two policemen in uniform. The composition is complemented by various emergency services, which illustrate the diversity of police activities, as well as a stylized depiction of rural and urban areas.
Reverse: common to all coins of this series. Image of an eagle framed by the words “BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND”, denomination of 10 euros, year of issue 2023, twelve stars of Europe.
On the smooth edge of the coin is the inscription: “IM DENST DER GESELLSCHAFT” (IN THE SERVICE OF THE SOCIETY).
