In 2022, the Republic of San Marino launched a new series of 10 euro coins dedicated to the most popular coin series in the world – the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
The Year of the Ox is the second coin of the series (12 coins in total) dedicated to the signs of the Chinese lunar calendar.
The obverse of all coins depicts a composition with three stylized towers and three feathers.
A feature of the series is the image of the sun on the reverse of each of the coins of this series, as well as signs in Chinese.
In 2022, 3 coins from the series were released: Year of the Rat, Year of the Ox and Year of the Tiger.
