Below is the name of the issuing country “LUXEMBOURG” and below it the year 2019, which marks the year of issue. At the top, in a semicircle around the images of the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess, is the inscription ‘Centenaire de l’accession au trône de la Grande-Duchesse Charlotte’ (100th anniversary of the accession of the Grand Duchy of Charlotte). The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union flag.
