The obverse of the 2 euro commemorative coin depicts the ruins of the megalithic Mnaidra temple complex, located on the southern coast of Malta. Above the image is the inscription “MNAJDRA TEMPLES 3600-2500 BC”, and at the bottom is the name of the state” MALTA “and the year of issue of the coin”2018”. The artist’s initials “NGB”are also engraved on the right side.
