Feature: A contracted (Lithuanian polyphonic songs included in the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind)

Description: The coin depicts concentric wavy circles, which symbolize the polyphonic melodies of Lithuania’s unique heritage, the contractas (folk songs). The lines widen and narrow and enter a vortex decorated with a variety of tiny geometric and natural details. The image is surrounded in a semicircle by the name of the issuing country “LIETUVA”, the letter “SUTARTINĖS” (Lithuanian polyphonic songs) and the year of issue 2019. The coin also bears the emblem of the Lithuanian Mint. The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union flag.
