2 Euro 2020. France. “Medical research” Merci (BU)

The design of the 2 euro coin of France illustrates the allegory of man’s victory over disease. The writing “MERCI” (thanks) on the coin card is a way to thank medical staff and all the people mobilized at the heart of this crisis. On the front side of the coin there is a female´s face in a sphere with the word “UNION”. Nearby are DNA molecules (the structure is visible under a microscope).
