The obverse shows two profiles at once – King Philippe of Belgium and Grand Duke Henry of Luxembourg. To the right of them are the outlines of Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as the inscription “Economic Union”. Under the portraits you can find the marks of the Belgian and Dutch mints. In the lower right corner are the initials of the obverse designer Luke Luiks.
