In the center of the coin there is a stylized sunflower whose petals resemble the silhouettes of people holding hands, hugging and protecting each other, personifying unity, support and the strength of being together. The sunflower is designed in the form of the Sun – hope for a new beginning, and like birds – freedom, hope and courage, like people rising above circumstances, never accepting any imposed will, this is an allusion to those who sacrificed their lives and their departing souls. The composition is surrounded by inscriptions LITHUANIA, TOGETHER WITH UKRAINE.
