In 2003 she was beatified by the Catholic Church, in 2016 she was canonized as a saint. On the coin, Mother Teresa holds an Indian child in her arms. This image reflects all the love, commitment and dedication that Mother Teresa gave to alleviate the suffering of “the poorest of the poor.”
