Miklós Zrinyi is a role model of a loyal and sacrificial warrior, a Christian hero and also a national hero in both Croatia and Hungary.

The obverse of the coin depicts Miklos Zrinyi, the ban of Croatia, who died heroically at the Battle of Szigetvar with the Ottoman Empire. Miklós Zrinyi is depicted wearing armor, wearing a hat, holding a sword in his right hand and a mace in his left hand.

The reverse of the coin depicts the castle of Szigetvár and the epic in Hungarian.
