25 cents Canada 2017 – 125th Anniversary of the Stanley Cup

The Stanley Cup is awarded to the winning NHL playoff team (Canada and the United States) annually. It is a 90 cm silver vase (modern winners are given a copper-nickel replica made in 1964).
On the obverse in the center is the Stanley Cup with the corresponding inscription in English. On the left and right sides of him are rival hockey players. At the bottom is the number 125, exactly how many years have passed since the first fight on ice. A memorable date is also indicated: 1892 – 2017.
The reverse depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in profile, surrounded by the Latin inscription “ELIZABETH II DG REGINA”. The issuing country and the denomination of the coin are also indicated.
