5 euro Belgium 2021 – European Year of Railways

In the summer of 2021, Belgium issued a commemorative coin 5 euros 2021 – the European Year of Railways. The coins are issued by the Royal Dutch Mint on behalf of the National Bank of Belgium.

The European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism has accepted a proposal to declare 2021 the year of railways.
This decision provides for many activities to popularize and promote railway transport in the EU.
