5 euro Slovakia 2025 – Eagle

The Eastern imperial eagle is one of the rarest eagles in Europe and a real pride of Slovak fauna. This graceful bird of prey with distinctive white spots on its wings symbolizes strength, endurance and natural harmony.
The coin is dedicated to a unique species that started to spread in Slovakia only in the middle of the 20th century. Today, there are only about 100 nesting pairs and the eastern burial ground is strictly protected.

Obverse: an eagle sitting on a branch, as well as a flying eagle with outstretched wings.
Reverses: eagle’s head and underneath it a nest with two chicks and an egg.
