€25.00 includes 22% VAT
The Supersaurus 3 euro coin series consists of 12 coins from the 2019-2022 issue. All 3 euro coins in this series are legal tender in Austria.
The sixth issue is dedicated to the longest claws – Therizinosaurus. This is the first release of 2021.
At the end of the Cretaceous period, he lived in areas of the northern continent of Laurasia, which now correspond to North America, China and Mongolia. The dinosaur’s claws are up to a meter long, flat, curved and pointed at the end, giving it the nickname “oblique lizard.” The well-preserved remains of one of his close relatives unexpectedly confirmed that therizinosaurus was partially feathered.
On the obverse there is an image of 12 dinosaurs, which will be minted within four years. Around the circle is the name of the issuer’s country – “REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH” and the face value of the coin – “3 EURO”.
The reverse shows a close-up of a Therizinosaurus in color, set on a prehistoric landscape. Part of the reverse is selectively coated with a special glow-in-the-dark paint. Inscriptions: the name of the dinosaur species – “THERIZINOSAURUS” and the year of issue of the coin – “2021”.
