Canada 2022 CAD Bank Set – Proof Swift Fox

50.00 includes 24% VAT

This is the third installment in the Endangered Wildlife Series in Canada. The 2022 $1 coin features a portrait of a fast fox and is exclusive to this set – not available for separate purchase.

Named for its impressive running speed, the swift fox was considered an extinct species in the wild in the late 1930s, and reintroduction attempts began only in 1983. By 1997, 942 swift foxes had been released into the southern grasslands of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and a small but growing population had been successfully re-established.

The swift fox is the smallest wild dog in North America – slightly smaller than the domestic cat. On average, an adult male weighs about 2.45 kg and is about 80 centimeters long (its tail alone is 28 centimeters long)

The set consists of 6 coins of 2022.
