Banknote 10 apsars Abkhazia 2024 – Leopard

The 10 apsars banknote of the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia is printed on cotton paper, with orange being the predominant colour. The main image on the front side of the banknote consists of a Caucasian leopard and an ornamented ancient bronze axe. The right and left sectors contain images of the state coat of arms of the Republic of Abkhazia and the denomination of the banknote. The main image on the back of the banknote consists of images of a bronze axe and the upper part of the traditional Abkhaz military and hierarchical staff, the “alabasha”. The reverse side also contains the denomination and serial number of the banknote. Banknotes issued into circulation are a means of payment at their nominal value, which has a hard equivalent in Russian rubles: 1 apsar is equal to 10 rubles of the Russian Federation.
In the lower right part of the back of the banknotes there is a QR code containing a link to the Bank of Abkhazia website page with a description of the banknotes’ security features.
