The front of the banknote depicts the torso of a statue of the goddess Isis—an ancient work of art discovered in the Ohrid region. It symbolizes the region’s ancient cultural ties and reflects its historical heritage. The back of the banknote features a fragment from the mosaic floor of the baptistery of the Episcopal Basilica of Stobi (5th–6th centuries AD) depicting a peacock—a symbol of beauty, prosperity, and spirituality.
