Banknote 5 pounds Falkland Islands 2025

The Falkland Islands Government has issued a commemorative £5 note that reflects the unique nature of the archipelago and highlights historical continuity.

The obverse features a portrait of King Charles III, symbolizing the islands’ connection to the British monarchy. The composition is complemented by silhouettes of soaring albatrosses, symbolizing the freedom and natural grandeur of the South Atlantic.

The reverse side is dedicated to the beauty of the Falklands landscape, depicting a mountain range and the region’s characteristic flora. Flowers and a colony of penguins, one of the islands’ symbols, complete the composition.
