Banknote ½ dollar The Bahamas 2019

The banknote is dedicated to the country’s cultural heritage and symbolises its historical connection with the British Commonwealth.

The reverse of the banknote depicts a woman at a market in traditional dress, surrounded by fruits and goods, reflecting the importance of agriculture and traditional trade to the Bahamian economy.

The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a map of the archipelago and images of local flora and fauna, as well as the inscription Central Bank of The Bahamas and the denomination “½ Dollar”.
