Bank Set Japan 2025 – Japan Cherry Blossom in Hiroshima

30.00 includes 24% VAT

Every spring, Japan turns into a land of cherry blossoms – a symbol of beauty, renewal and the transience of life. One of the most famous places for hanami (flower viewing) is the Hiroshima Mint area. Since 1991, it has been open to the public during cherry blossom season, attracting thousands of visitors to the “Flower Road” – Hana-no-mawarimichi. Many varieties of cherry trees grow here, including trees transplanted from the Osaka headquarters, famous for its “Sakura-no-toorinuke.”

Among them, the most notable is Kake-zakura, a rare variety of sakura with pale pink flowers and 10-20 petals, growing in the garden of the Kake Hachiemon Villa in Akiota, Hiroshima Prefecture.

The 2025 set includes six coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 and 500 yen, as well as a silver medal with a unique design dedicated to the cherry blossoms in Hiroshima.
