Set of Belgian francs with a single

10 franc coin

In 2002, the Belgian franc became part of

European history with the introduction of the euro.

This set of coins is special for several reasons.

First, it includes the last 50 centimes,

as well as coins of 1 and 5 francs of the Belgian currency before the euro.

It also contains, as the only 10 franc coin,

and the last coin of 25 centimes minted before 1975.

In addition, the set is unique in that each of the different coins

exists with French or Dutch designations.

Among the motifs is the monogram of King Baudouin,

traditional portrait of a miner with a protective lamp,

as well as portraits of King Baudouin and King Albert II.
