Coin set – Brazil

The only set of Brazilian cruzado coins.

For navigators of the Age of Discovery

the constellation of the Cross was a very important landmark.

Today the so-called Southern Cross appears on many

national emblems, including the Brazilian one.

At first glance, it seems quite ordinary.

However, upon closer inspection, it is clear

that the wreath of plants does not consist of laurel or palm branches,

and coffee and tobacco, Brazil’s two most important exports.

The reverse of this coin set features the national coat of arms.

This is the only set of Brazilian cruzado coins.
