Netherlands Card 2022 “Healthcare Professionals” – 2 euro regular issue + token

The Royal Netherlands Mint has introduced a special issue in appreciation of all healthcare workers in the Netherlands. The release is an initiative of the Maastricht UMC+.

The card contains an exclusive token and a 2 euro coin. Prior to the launch of the coin card, the Royal Netherlands Mint collected the names of healthcare professionals through an online campaign. These names appear on the coin card and on the token. Thus, the issue represents all healthcare workers in the Netherlands: from the surgeon to the cleaner, from the home care worker to the nurse. What’s more, with the “Thank you for your concern…” printed on the coin card, you can personally thank someone as you can write the name on the dots!
