First complete set of new coins

Azerbaijani manats.

The monetary history of Azerbaijan dates back to antiquity.

While the Byzantine emperors, for example, minted

on historical artifacts, motifs on modern

coins are much more diverse. This is the first complete set.

Qəpik coins after the 2006 monetary reform.

Unusually, the year of issue is missing, and the obverses

have a map of the country instead of the national coat of arms. On the reverse of each image with

special meaning: Musical instruments symbolizing

culture, books and a pen for literature, Maiden’s Tower

for history, helmet for the Karabakh region, spiral

ladder with math signs for education and

future, as well as oil rigs for the economy and

growth.
