Guyana is located north of the Amazon basin and is

the only English-speaking country in South America.

The name Guyana means “land of many waters”. culturally,

it is considered part of the Caribbean Sea. It’s complete

a set of Guyanese dollar coins dedicated to important

sectors of the country’s economy. Obverses 1

and 5 cents are decorated with denomination,

as well as the national bird – hoatzin. Reverses

decorated with stylized lotus flowers. National emblem

depicted on the obverses of other coins. On them

the reverse depicts a hand with a rice plant, sugar cane,

gold digger at work and again

denomination with hoatzin.
