A complete set of coins from the largest landlocked country in the world. This complete set of coins from Kazakhstan is unique in several ways. In an effort to bring the historically heavily Russian-influenced country culturally closer to the West, the Cyrillic script is increasingly being replaced by Latin letters. The set includes coins of the last circulation of Kazakhstan with Cyrillic edging. Moreover, this is the first coin issued after the introduction of the tiyin currency unit. The obverses of the coins depict the national coat of arms of Kazakhstan. Their reverses show denominations and ornaments. The set includes the country’s first bimetallic coin with a face value of 100 tenge.
– Kazakhstan’s last coin set with Cyrillic script
– First set without Tiyin denominations
– With the first bimetallic coin of Kazakhstan
