and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia since 2015, but also
has the title “Keeper of the Two Holy Places”.
It has been given to Muslim rulers since the 12th century
and is one of the two most important in the world
places of Islam – Mecca and Medina. King portrait
Salman is depicted on the obverse of the 1 rial coin.
The 2 rial coin depicts
founder of the state Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al
Saud. On the obverse of the Halal coins are depicted
state emblem and years of issue in accordance with
Gregorian and Islamic calendars. All reverses
have denominations in both Arabic and English.
