Serbian cultural monuments and Nikola Tesla
No wonder Nikola Tesla (1856–1943) is
one of the most famous scientists in history.
Without his discoveries in the field of electrical engineering
modern society would be different.
His inventions, which he sometimes presented to the public in spectacular shows,
include a revolutionary AC induction motor.
Tesla’s portrait, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of his birth,
depicted on the reverse of the 20 dinars coin of this Serbian set.
Others depict important buildings: the National Bank,
Gracanica Monastery in Kosovo, Krushedol Monastery on Fruška Gora
and the Studentitsa Monastery near Kraljevo.
The obverse features the national coat of arms.
– Commemorative coin of Nikola Tesla
– Full set of Serbian dinar coins
