Colored coin 2 euro Croatia 2023 – Introduction of the euro

The coin is dedicated to Croatia’s transition to the euro. Croatia adopted the euro on January 1, 2023. On the first day of 2023, Croatia became the twentieth member of the eurozone. The design features the inscriptions of the issuing country “HRVATSKA” (Croatia) and the year of issue “2023”, located horizontally, as well as the words “ČLANICA EUROPODRUČJA” (eurozone member). These inscriptions symbolically form a stylized euro symbol “€”. Another central motif of the coin is the distinctive and recognizable symbol of Croatia – the Croatian chessboard, which represents part of the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia.

The coloring of the coin was made by a private company. This product is not an official bank issue and is not a legal tender.
