2 euro color coin Finland 2023 – 100th anniversary of Finland’s first nature protection law

The 2023 Finnish commemorative coin is dedicated to Finland’s first nature conservation law and features a horned beetle. In Finland, the horned beetle is classified as endangered. Beetles work at different levels of the ecosystem and are thus an important group for biodiversity in general.

The painted background of the coin emphasizes the natural habitat of the horned beetle, while the main motif on the coin remains unpainted.

The coloring of the coin was made by a private company. This product is not an official bank issue and is not a means of payment.
