The obverse depicts a maple leaf, in the center of which is a poppy – a symbol of memory of the victims in the First World War and other wars, painted in red. Also on the coin there is an inscription “Remember” in English and French, the name of the issuing country and the denomination of the coin. The reverse depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in profile, surrounded by the Latin inscription “ELIZABETH II DG REGINA”.
