This is the ninth coin in the series. The Supersaurs series brings prehistoric giants back to life in the form of 12 gorgeous glow-in-the-dark coins.

Argentinosaurus huinculensis is the largest and heaviest land animal that has ever walked the Earth. The Argentinosaurus, 30 to 40 meters long and weighing 60 to 90 tons, lived in what is now South America about 94 million years ago. Little is known about Argentinosaurus, few remains. Only 10% of his skeleton is found. The Argentinosaurus featured a small head, long neck, barrel-shaped body, long tail, and four columnar legs.

The reverse depicts an Argentinosaurus in a prehistoric landscape, with other dinosaurs and some vegetation in the background. Below, along the edge, the name of the animal is written in Latin “ARGENTINOSAURUS” and the year of issue of the coin “2021”.

On the obverse there is an image of 12 dinosaurs, which will be minted within four years. Around the circle is the name of the issuer’s country – “REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH” and the face value of the coin – “3 EURO”.
