This collectible colored coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of the first international sporting tournament held in Slovakia – the European Ice Hockey Championship. Organized under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation, this tournament remained the premier European competition for many years, running from 1910 to 1991.
The 1925 championship, the tenth in a row, was held in Štrbské Pleso and Starý Smokovec and ended with a victory for Czechoslovakia.
