Estonia 2 euro BU Coin card – 30th anniversary of the EU flag

June marked the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the European flag by the European Council as its official flag and the 60th anniversary of the adoption of the flag by the Council of Europe. The design of the new euro coin was chosen by euro area residents from five designs through e-voting. The designs were submitted by residents of euro area countries to a public competition organized by the European Commission. The coin is designed by Georgios Stamatopoulos of the Central Bank of Greece. The design of the national side of the € 2 commemorative coin is the same in all euro area countries, but the denomination and edge text of the issuing country are different. Issuing volume: 3500 coins. Date of issue: December 2015.
