Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts an open book, a large scientific symbol with the inscription “ARTES LIBERALES”. The name engraved on the sides of the silver coin “VYTAUTO DIDŽIOJO UNIVERSITETO ATKŪRIMAS” (Eng. Restoration of Vytautas Great University” and the number “25” denoting the jubilee year.
Reverse: The reverse depicts the large coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania – Vytis. The name of the state “LIETUVA” (Eng. Lithuania) and the year of minting “2014” are engraved above it, and the denomination is “50 LITŲ” at the bottom.
